My picture for day one of 2011 was of me and my Godson George. Nearly a year later, I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with George (above) and his lovely parents. George is looking very excited in the photo and maybe that's because he's soon to get a brand new brother or sister. I'm looking forward to having a photo of George and the his new brother or sister in my 365 for 2012 :-)

For five years it's been the same routine. I go to teach my scientists on a Monday. I arrive at the building. I ring the bell that doesn't work. I wait. I get let into the building when someone spots me waiting outside. I get told the bell does work, I just have to learn how to press it harder. Now imagine my surprise when I turn up to work and THERE'S A NEW BELL.

Note to self: need to get out more.

I wonder how often it happens in the life of a teacher that one of their students brings alcohol that they made themselves to class and offers everyone a shot. It was certainly the first time for me. I never knew you could make such nice alcohol out of those tiny little berries I see everywhere

Olomouc today for the last workshop of the bundle for me. The workshop was in a secondary school and this picture was adorning one of the walls outside the classroom I was in. Check out the typewriters :-)

Rather tired after the wedding celebrations, and having to drive the hour back to Brno, we stopped to indulge in a little retail therapy on the way home. I have no idea how much money was spent on it, or indeed why the shopping centre felt the need to spend any money on this interesting winter wonderland that stands bang smack in the middle of the shopping centre.

Tom and Gabka got married today. The wedding was typically Moravian and one of the things which made it such, was the live music that played almost non-stop from 5pm til 3am.
