Where oh where did the exam period go? The Spring semester started today, so it was back to coursebooks and lesson planning this morning. Good luck with the semester everyone :-)

Today was the beginning of a week's skiing in Austria. The owner of the hotel we're staying in is a hunter and likes to display his "trophies". A most bizarre sight.

Along with the word robot, the Remoska (a multipurpose mini oven as the translation on the box reads) is one of the great Czech inventions. And a fine birthday present for my friend and colleague Steve. Happy Birthday :-)

At the risk of appearing obsessed, it's another picture of the growing Christmas tree cemetery outside my flat. More and more trees are appearing every day. The one in the picture still has tinsel on it!
And it's suddenly warm. +13 degrees. A curious day indeed.

Today

 On no, the Christmas tree cemetery outside my flat is growing :-( Have people really only just taken their trees down?

I registered at a new Doctor's surgery today and was very surprised by the lack of computers. All my details were typed using a typewriter and then neatly filed. Curious :-)
