Day one of a three day intensive methodology course at university. One of the input sessions was entitled "teaching a non-linguistic skill". The trainees had to teach each other how to do something non-language related. These voodoo dolls were the result of one of the sessions. Genius.

It was the opening of an ELT conference in Brno today and the Czech OUP team were taken out to dinner. This translation of pfeffer steak seemed suitably vague and made me giggle.
